San Diego, CA — February 14, 2024, a woman was injured in a pedestrian versus dump truck accident just after 3:45 a.m. along University Avenue.
According to authorities, the accident took place at the intersection of University Avenue and Vermont Street.

A 70-year-old woman was allegedly attempting to cross Vermont Street from west to east when she had a red light. The dump truck reportedly stuck her as it was making a right-hand turn from eastbound University Avenue to southbound Vermont Street. The pedestrian reportedly incurred suspected serious injuries as a result of the accident. She was transported to a local hospital by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
