How Did This Accident Occur?
It’s possible this crash involved a common factor that leads to accidents, such as inattentive driving, unsafe speeds, failure to yield, etc. What’s important is that investigators are able to consider even unlikely possible factors, such as a vehicle defect, missing signage, or a medical condition. It frustrates me how many police departments put crash reconstruction low on their list of priorities and leave victims and families to look for their own answers as officers move on to other work. Hopefully authorities here are going to be more thorough, but that’s not the sort of thing anyone should take for granted.
