Lake County, OH — February 1, 2024, a man was killed in a dump truck accident that took place in the morning along Blasé Nemeth Road.
According to authorities, a 56-year-old man was taking cover from airborne windblown debris at a solid waste facility on Blasé Nemeth Road northeast of the North Creek Drive intersection when the accident took place.
A dump truck was allegedly reversing and struck the 56-year-old, stopping only after witnesses brought the incident to the driver’s attention. The victim incurred critical injuries as a result of the accident. He taken by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment at a nearby medical facility. However, he reportedly succumbed to his injuries before arrival.
