How Did This Accident Occur?
A lot of folks see a rear-end collision and assume the rear driver was on their phone, following too closely, or driving too fast. Frankly, that’s the most likely explanation. However, it’s far from the only one. Just hypothetically, what if the 18-wheeler up ahead cut off the rear driver What if it didn’t have working brake lights? What if the rear driver’s truck experienced a mechanical failure due to a defect?
It takes careful investigations to rule out all of these possibilities. My concern is that there was another serious wreck just hours before this crash about a mile down the road. Authorities might have enough trouble handling one serious commercial truck wreck, let alone two at the same time. As such, getting all the facts for everyone involved in those accidents may require independent professionals stepping in to keep all the facts straight.
