July 23, 2026, one person was injured following a dual 18-wheeler accident at around 7:30 p.m. along Interstate 94.
According to preliminary reports on the crash, it took place along I-94 near Highway K/Northwestern Avenue, north of Franksville outside of Racine.
Reports say that an 18-wheeler going along the interstate somehow crashed into a second 18-wheeler from behind. This led to a fire. One person involved in the crash was taken to a hospital.
Right now, additional details about the crash remain unconfirmed.
How Did This Accident Occur?
A lot of folks see a rear-end collision and assume the rear driver was on their phone, following too closely, or driving too fast. Frankly, that’s the most likely explanation. However, it’s far from the only one. Just hypothetically, what if the 18-wheeler up ahead cut off the rear driver What if it didn’t have working brake lights? What if the rear driver’s truck experienced a mechanical failure due to a defect?
