How Did This Accident Occur?

This crash would look like a textbook case of driver inattention, if not for the indication that alcohol was a factor. The presence of a driver who is accused to be intoxicated warrants an expanded investigation, one that includes a key question: where did the driver get his alcohol?

Most law enforcement agencies don’t have the resources for that sort of investigation, so it often falls to outside investigators to ferret out that information. Under Texas law, if a bar, restaurant or other alcohol provider served someone who was obviously intoxicated, and that person later caused injuries, the establishment itself may share legal responsibility.

Those affected by this crash deserve to know who was responsible for causing it. Do you know anything that may help connect the dots?
