Accident Report

Shawano County, WI — May 19, 2026, the driver was killed in a truck accident just before 5 a.m. on State Highway 29/World War I Veterans Memorial Highway.

Authorities said a semi-truck was heading west through a construction zone when it blew a tire in a cut-out section of road, causing the truck to overturn in the median with its cab blocking the eastbound lanes.

The driver, a 59-year-old Antigo area man, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near Bonduel, according to authorities. His name has not been made public yet.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Shawano County crash at this time.
