UPDATE (February 15, 2024): The victim who was injured as a result of this accident has been identified as 34-year-old Donis Gomez Escalante.
Dallas, TX — January 6, 2024, one person was injured in a car accident shortly after 2:00 in the morning along Hall Street.
According to authorities, police had initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle occupied by a 19-year-old in the vicinity of the Thomas Avenue and Allen Street intersection, but the vehicle refused to stop and managed to evade police.

Sometime later, that same vehicle was allegedly a part of a two-car crash that took place at the intersection of Thomas Avenue and Hall Street. The occupant of the second vehicle—a 34-year-old man—incurred injuries of unknown severity and was transported to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment.
The 19-year-old was reportedly put under arrest. Authorities have recommended charges of driving while intoxicated and evading arrest. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
