Bexar County, TX — May 16, 2026, Destiny Berumen was killed in a car accident at about midnight on U.S. Highway 281 south of San Antonio.

Authorities said a pedestrian was walking on the highway near South Addison Street when she was hit by a southbound 2017 Chevrolet Malibu.

The pedestrian, 28-year-old Destiny Nicole Berumen, died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to authorities.

The Chevrolet driver was not injured, authorities said.
