How Did This Accident Occur?

From what’s been reported so far, it’s not clear how these vehicles came together. That is why I always urge people to wait for the investigation to be completed, rather than rushing to conclusions based on assumptions or guesses.

Investigators will unearth facts about this crash by poring over witness statements, evidence from the scene, data from the vehicles and any available video footage. Cell phone records could show if either driver was distracted at the time of the crash.

Authorities may need to seek outside experts if they suspect a medical or mechanical issue contributed to this crash, because they don’t have the necessary training to diagnose such problems.

At the end of the day, it’s about taking whatever steps are necessary to provide answers about what happened on U.S. 281 for those who were affected by this crash.
