Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

It’s just a shame to see someone lose their life while simply trying to provide for themselves and their loved ones, but it unfortunately happens. We had a case against a negligent employer a while back where something similar happened. A new hire at a gas station ended up getting shot during a robbery. It turned out that business had a history of getting robbed, and the victim’s manager never bothered warning the new hire or taking steps to increase security. I can only hope investigators here are working hard to find out if there were any measures that could have been taken to prevent this and to help prevent others from being harmed in the future.
