How Did This Accident Occur?
If authorities can prove the driver of the Chevrolet van was intoxicated at the time of this crash on East Lyon Street, this investigation may need to go further than most law enforcement agencies are willing to dig. The question that needs to be answered is: Where did the driver get his alcohol?
It’s one thing if he had been drinking at home, but it’s another if he had been drinking at a bar or restaurant. Such businesses can be made to share accountability for any injuries caused by someone they served while obviously intoxicated. We don’t know if that is what happened in this instance, but the injured driver and her family deserve to know everyone who could have contributed to this crash.
