Houston, TX — March 9, 2024, Deimy Bustillo and one other person were injured in a car accident at approximately 12:30 a.m. along Bissonnet Street.
According to authorities, 18-year-old Deimy Bustillo and a 23-year-old man were traveling in a westbound Volkswagen Jetta at a stoplight at the Cook Road intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Honda Clarity on Bissonnet failed to stop for the traffic light. It reportedly collided with the rear-end of the Jetta as a result. Bustillo suffered suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck; she was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. The man who had been with her in the Jetta may have received minor injuries, as well. No other injuries have been reported.
