Galveston County, TX — December 27, 2025, Debra Mann was injured as the result of a car accident at around 5:00 p.m. along Victory Lakes Drive.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened in the area of Victory Lakes Drive and Town Center Drive, between Walker Street and the Gulf Freeway.
According to officials, 59-year-old Debra Mann was in a Ford Ranger going westbound. A Dodge Ram was going southbound when it reportedly failed to yield, and the vehicles collided.
Due to the accident, authorities say that Debra Mann had serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. Authorities say inattention was a factor in the crash.

If inattention was indeed a factor here, that probably aligns with a lot of people’s first guess at what causes most car accidents: cellphone usage. This highlights the importance of securing electronic evidence as early as possible. Cellphone data is the obvious one, but this also includes vehicle data, GPS information, and also any possible video footage of the crash (a lot of residences and businesses have security cameras these days). Electronic evidence often gets overwritten or erased, so it can be time-sensitive. If authorities haven’t already taken steps to secure this evidence, they could be letting crucial information slip through the cracks.
