Accident Report
June 27, 2026, David Young and three people were injured after a car accident at around 11:35 p.m. along Preston Road.
Preliminary information about the accident says that the crash took place in the area of Preston Road and Ownsby Parkway.
Authorities said that 46-year-old David Young and two others were in a Ford Mustang going southbound on Preston Road. A 16-year-old was driving a Range Rover, also going southbound. Police report that the Range Rover failed to control speed and crashed into the Mustang.
Due to the accident, David Young reportedly sustained serious injuries. The driver and passenger of the Range Rover and a passenger in the Mustang were also injured.

How Did This Accident Occur?
If this all just comes down to a teenage driver making a mistake behind the wheel, that wouldn’t exactly be world shattering news. However, I always talk about the importance of letting evidence tell the story. It doesn’t really matter if teen drivers are often responsible for accidents; what matters is what the facts say. For all anyone knows, the Range Rover could have experienced some sort of unforeseeable mechanical or electrical failure due to a defect. Is that as common as, say, distracted driving? Of course not, but both factors deserve attention so they can at least be ruled out. Not only is this the most fair approach, but, in my experience, it’s also the most effective way to get victims and families the resolution they deserve.
