Killeen, TX — January 7, 2024, David Thompson Jr. was injured as the result of a hit-and-run accident that happened at around 11:10 p.m. on South Fort Hood Street.
Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the accident happened near the intersection of Fort Hood Street/Highway 195 and Loma Vista Parkway.
According to officials, 53-year-old David Thompson Jr. was traveling along the shoulder of southbound lanes of Fort Hood Street at the time. While doing so, police say that a southbound vehicle struck Thompson from behind, then drove away from the scene without rendering aid.
David Thompson had reportedly serious injuries due to the accident. Authorities did not release any description of a suspect vehicle. No further information is available at this time.
