Logan County, OK — October 20th, 2024, David Smith was killed in an 18-wheeler accident on I-35 at 9:10 A.M. near mile marker 156.
An investigation is still underway to determine what caused a fatal semi-truck accident that claimed the life of one person on Sunday.
According to official reports, 70-year-old David Irving Smith was operating the tractor trailer when for reasons still being determined, the semi struck an unoccupied box truck that was sitting “outside the shoulder”. It has been reported that the semi caught fire shortly after the collision.
First responders declared Smith deceased at the scene of the accident. Details are still being looked into by authorities.
