Edinburg, TX — June 26, 2026, David Moreno was killed in a hit-and-run accident at about 1 a.m. in the 2000 block of North McColl Road.
Authorities said a man was riding a bicycle in the center lane when he was hit from behind by a vehicle that drove away after the collision.
Bicyclist David Moreno, 43, died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to authorities.
A 16-year-old was arrested on a charge of collision involving personal injury or death after the parents of four teens reported the accident several hours later, authorities said. The crash involved a 2014 Dodge Caravan.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Hidalgo County crash at this time.
