Jasper County, TX — November 26, 2024, David Gates was killed in a car accident at about 11:20 a.m. on U.S. Route 96 south of Jasper.
David Gates, 69, reportedly was driving north toward Jasper in a 2021 Kia Soul when his car veered off the road near mile marker 408 for an unknown reason, according to authorities.
The car went off the right side of the highway and crash into the tree line, authorities said.
David Gates was pronounced dead after he was transported to a local hospital, according to authorities.
