How Did This Accident Occur?
Was this crashed by driver fatigue or distraction? Did the driver swerve to avoid another vehicle? Or did the Hyundai have a mechanical issue that affected its brakes or steering? I don’t pretend to know the answer to these questions, which will only come from a full investigation of this crash.
Investigators, either police or an independent third party, will pore over evidence from the scene, data from the car’s engine control module any available video footage of the crash to determine what happened. If they suspect a mechanical problem contributed to the crash, a qualified expert likely will need to examine the vehicle in a laboratory setting before it is repaired or scrapped.
A thorough investigation is necessary to provide much-needed answers to the victim’s family about how this crash happened, so they don’t have any lingering questions about his death.
