Harris County, TX — December 22, 2024, Dashaveon Gentry was injured as the result of a car accident at around 11:31 p.m. along Kuykendahl Road.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened near the intersection of Kuykendahl and Ella Boulevard.
Officials say that 28-year-old Dashaveon Gentry was in a Chrysler 300 going northeast along the roadway. A Chevy Tahoe going southeast reportedly disregarded the traffic signal, resulting in a collision with Gentry’s vehicle.
Dashaveon Gentry was seriously injured due to the accident. The Chevy Tahoe driver reportedly left the scene. The vehicle is described as a 2001 white Chevy Tahoe, which details suggest was in police custody. It’s unclear if authorities were able to identify the driver.

It’s a bit frustrating not seeing more information about this crash in the public eye. When someone leaves an accident scene, the public is one of the best tools at the police’s disposal. Someone may be able to connect dots the authorities couldn’t and help identify the suspect. That way, there can be accountability for the driver leaving the scene and for any possible wrongs they were trying to hide from authorities when they fled.
