Houston, TX — October 28, 2024, Daryl Breland was killed following a pedestrian versus hit-and-run car accident just before 10:30 p.m. on Westheimer Road.
According to authorities, Daryl Breland was on foot attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of Westheimer Road in the vicinity of the Gessner Road intersection when the accident took place.
Preliminary reports indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, Breland was struck by an eastbound vehicle of unknown make or model. The motor vehicle reportedly fled the scene, the person(s) inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim. Officials state that Brelan suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision and was declared deceased at the scene. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
