How Did This Accident Occur?
Did the truck turn when it wasn’t safe? Was the pickup speeding? Did either vehicle have a problem with its brakes or steering mechanism? These are the kind of questions that authorities should consider as they investigate this accident.
Investigators will rely on vehicle data, physical evidence, witness statement and any available video footage to reconstruct this crash, while cell phone records could show what each driver was doing at the time.
If authorities suspect a mechanical issue contributed to this accident, a qualified expert should examine the vehicles in a laboratory setting. Most law enforcement agencies do not have the time or training for such inspections, in my experience, but the GMC driver and his family deserve to know as much as possible about what caused this crash.
