Corpus Christi, TX — January 1, 2024, Damian Martinez was fatally injured as the result of a single-vehicle accident before 2:00 a.m. on I-37.
Authorities said in their preliminary statements that the accident happened in the area of Interstate 37 and McKinzie Road.
It appears that 21-year-old Damian Martinez was in a Chevy Camaro going along the interstate. Somehow, the vehicle lost control, and it ran onto the median separating main lanes and the access road. There, the Camaro crashed into a concrete pillar.
Damian Martinez sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. It does not appear there were any other occupants in the vehicle. Right now, no further details about the crash can be confirmed pending investigations.
