Amarillo, TX — March 23, 2025, one person sustained injuries as the result of a shooting that happened early Sunday off of Southeast 10th Avenue.
Preliminary statements about the incident say that it happened outside Tejano Wild West, located between Houston Street and Cleveland Street.
According to officials, a shooting occurred in the parking lot of the club. One person was taken from the scene, and they were reportedly in stable condition. Authorities arrested one person for felon in possession of a firearm, but it’s not clear if anyone is being charges for the shooting. Investigations are ongoing.

The old saying is that nothing good happens after midnight. However, some places are more dangerous than others. It’s worth considering what kind of history this place has with violent incidents. If they have good security, plenty of lighting, and have taken precautions to prevent this sort of thing, then this may have just been an unforeseeable incident. If this sort of thing happens a lot at this establishment, though, that’s something that needs to be addressed.
