San Bernardino County, CA — November 9, 2025, 20 people were injured as the result of a church bus rollover accident around 9:00 p.m. along Highway 330.
Officials said that the accident happened in the San Bernardino Mountains as a youth group returned from a camping trip.
Authorities say that a bus carrying members of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church was coming down the mountain highway at the time. While doing so, the bus apparently hit a bolder along the side of the road. It then reportedly tipped and flipped over.
Following the accident, at least 20 people were taken to the hospital. The severity of their injuries wasn’t specified. Additional details are unavailable.

With a bus accident like this, it’s not just about focusing on what happened in the moment. There also has to be consideration for how foreseeable and avoidable the situation was.
Maybe this was just an isolated incident, but it could also be that whoever was operating the bus had a history of making mistakes. Perhaps the bus wasn’t being properly maintained, leading to mechanical issues. The driver might not have been properly trained or qualified to navigate such hazardous terrain.
At the end of the day,m finding out what caused the crash is obviously a priority. But if steps can be taken to help ensure it doesn’t happen again, that, too, needs to be addressed.
