Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
As straight-forward as a crash like this can seem, motorcycle wrecks can involve unique challenges. A lot of people are biased against motorcyclists and willing to believe they were being reckless even if there’s no evidence saying so. Insurance companies know this, and they often try to use it to their advantage. That’s why it’s important folks involved in a crash like this ensure investigations are thorough enough to gather as much evidence as possible. There’s only so far a negative bias can go when put up against clear, convincing facts. Hopefully steps were taken to see that happened here.
