Right now, additional details can’t be confirmed. With single-vehicle wrecks, that’s nothing unusual. They’re not often seen as a high priority, so they don’t tend to get very thorough investigations from authorities. That can lead to all kinds of things slipping through the cracks. Were there issues with the roadway? Did a tire blow out? Did the vehicle have defects? Did seatbelts and airbags function properly? Is there missing signage or lighting that contributing to the crash? Likely or not, an accident reconstruction should be able to rule out these kinds of possibilities. That’s why a lot of folks end up looking for avenues independent of the authorities when they start to realize the police aren’t really getting the whole story.
