Preliminary information about the accident says that it took place on westbound lanes of Loop 1604 just east of Vance Jackson Road.

Details say that 33-year-old Christopher Schluter, a 33-year-old woman, and a young child were in an Audi going along the highway. While doing so, authorities say that a Chrysler Pacifica left its lane and crashed with the Audi as well as a Ford F-250.

Due to the accident, Christopher Schluter reportedly had serious injuries. The woman and child in the Audi had reportedly minor injuries. Authorities allege that the Chrysler driver fled the scene. Additional details are unavailable at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

While it’s not clear if authorities ever located or identified the alleged runaway driver here, details suggest they know the vehicle involved in the crash. Usually, that means it’s just a matter of time before they track down the owner of the vehicle, then the suspect (who may or may not be one and the same). Once that happens, they can hopefully get more information about what led to the crash and if the cause was something that led them to flee the accident scene—e.g. drunk driving or street racing. If drivers are still searching for the driver, though, hopefully they can release more information to the public. Someone is bound to be able to connect the dots and come forward with new information that will help the investigations.
