McAllen, TX — March 19, 2025, Christian Joanna Climaco was killed as the result of a car acciden at around 5:20 a.m. along Highway 107.
Current statements from officials say that the accident took place near a business along the 8600 block of TX-107, which appears to be near Mayberry Road and Bryan Road.
According to officials, Christian Joanna Climaco was fatally injured after being run over by a vehicle. Authorities allege that Climaco was in that vehicle prior to being run over. They also claim the driver of the vehicle was intoxicated at the time of the accident.
Right now, the driver of the vehicle is reportedly facing charges, including for DWI. the incident remains under investigation.

This is clearly an unusual series of events, so it would be very imprudent for anyone to go around speculating about what happened here without there being more evidence available. My hope is that authorities don’t become so focused on just filing charges that they forget to ensure the victim’s loved ones have a full understanding of what happened. That often requires a more thorough investigation, and it would surprise folks how often that required efforts from independent accident reconstructionists.
