How Did This Accident Occur?

After an early morning crash like this, it’s easy to assume fatigue played a role, but assumptions never lead to sound conclusions. It is always best to rely on facts to determine how a crash happened.

Did the driver have a medical emergency? Was there an object in the road? Did the Jeep have an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism? These scenarios also could explain this crash, so it is up to investigators to unearth the facts that will lead to the truth.

Physical evidence, cell phone records, data from the Jeep and any available video footage will help in this investigation, but an outside expert may be needed if authorities suspect a mechanical problem contributed to the crash. Most law enforcement agencies aren’t equipped for the kind of forensic examination necessary after a crash like this, in my experience, but it may be vital to provide answers for the injured driver and her family.
