Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
As investigations continue here, it’s important to remember that Texas has uniquely complex work accident laws. There isn’t always guaranteed path to getting injured workers benefits, as people tend to think. Sometimes, it’s entirely up to their employer how to handle the situation, and that can leave workers in a position where they have to fight if they want a fair resolution that meets their needs. Finding out led to a work accident is obviously important, but it’s just as important for the victims involved to know what comes next.
