Fort Worth, TX — November 19, 2025, a child was killed and a man was injured due to a TRE train accident around 3:00 p.m. on Elliott Reeder Road.
Investigators said that the accident happened at the Elliott Reeder Road and Colony Court railroad crossing, just east of the Airport Freeway.
Preliminary reports said that a man and a 5-year-old were in a car going along Elliott Reeder. The car attempted to cross a railroad as a Trinity Railway Express train was crossing. The train hit the car as a result.
Due to the collision, the child in the car was killed. The man had injuries. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the incident is still under investigation.

This soon after such a serious accident, the details can still be very scattered, and there’s likely still a lot of evidence to go over. My hope is authorities are prioritizing gathering and preserving evidence so there’s no questions about what all led to this accident.
