UPDATE (February 8, 2024): The woman who lost her life as a result of this accident has been identified as 29-year-old Cheranda Lataye Golden, of Houston.
Houston, TX — February 5, 2024, a woman was killed in a single-car accident at approximately 2:10 in the morning along South Post Oak Road.
According to reports, a 29-year-old woman was traveling in a southbound Nissan Kicks on South Post Oak Road in the vicinity of the Willowbend Boulevard intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Nissan failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It allegedly veered left, entering the grassy median where it came to a stop after crashing into a tree. The woman incurred critical injuries as a result of the collision and was immediately transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive treatment. However, she was ultimately unable to overcome her injuries and was declared deceased at the hospital.
