Hood County, TX — May 17, 2024, Chasidy Lowe and two others were injured following a car accident at approximately 6:00 p.m. along F.M. 51.
According to authorities, 19-year-old Chasidy Lowe and a 16-year-old boy were traveling in a westbound Nissan Rogue on Farm to Market 51 at the Roupe Lane intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a Ford F-250 occupied by a 38-year-old man that had been eastbound on F.M. 51 attempted a left turn onto northbound Raupe Lane at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to oncoming westbound traffic. This led to a collision between the front-end of the Nissan and the back-right side of the pickup truck.
Lowe sustained suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. The teen who was with her in the Nissan suffered moderate injuries, as well, according to reports. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
