Galveston County, TX — September 3, 2023, Chase Myers was injured as the result of a multiple hit-and-run accident at 2:06 a.m. along I-45.
Details released by authorities indicate that the incident happened along northbound lanes of the interstate near Farm-to-Market 519.
Authorities said that 32-year-old Chase Allen Myers was on a motorcycle going northbound on the interstate. While doing so, police say a vehicle going at unsafe speeds struck Myers, knocking over the motorcycle and putting Myers in the road. That driver left the scene. Another driver who stopped to help said another driver then hit Myers a second time before also leaving the scene.
Myers reportedly had serious injuries due to the collisions. Authorities say the first vehicle involved was described as a black SUV while the second runaway vehicle was said to be a grey sedan. Further details about the suspects are unavailable right now.
