Taylor County, TX — February 20, 2024, Charlotte Marion was injured in a car accident at about 7:30 a.m. along North 10th Street.
According to authorities, a BMW passenger car was northbound attempting a left turn onto westbound N. 10th Street from an elementary school parking lot in the vicinity east of Cabernet Drive when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the BMW failed to yield the right of way to North 10th traffic, entering the roadway at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the left side of the BMW and the front-end of an eastbound Toyota Rav4 occupied by 70-year-old Charlotte Marion.
Marion incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck. She was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. The 47-year-old woman from the BMW apparently suffered possible minor injuries, as well.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
