Galveston County, TX — June 11, 2024, one person was killed while Charles Serrano and two others were injured in a car accident just before 8:15 p.m. on S.H. 3.
According to authorities, two men ages 23 and 24were traveling in a northbound Toyota Corolla on State Highway 3 in the vicinity south of Landolt Street when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the Corolla failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left of center, entering the southbound lanes of the highway. There, it was involved in a collision with two southbound vehicles: a Honda Accord and a Ram 1500 pickup truck.
The 23-year-old man from the Corolla suffered fatal injuries due to the wreck. The 24-year-old from the Corolla and Serrano each incurred severe injuries, while the 25-year-old who was with Serrano in the pickup sustained moderate injuries. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
