Arlington, TX — July 10, 2024, one person was killed following a single-car-accident shortly before 12:45 a.m. along Interstate Highway 20.
According to authorities, two men were traveling in an eastbound Buick Lucerne on I.H. 20 in the vicinity of the East Loop 820 when the accident took place.
Another car had allegedly pulled in front of the Buick, causing the Buick to veer to the left in an attempt to avoid a collision. However, this caused the Buick to collide with a construction barricade, instead; it lost control, as a result, crossing over all lanes of the highway before crashing into a barricade on the opposite side of the road. That was when the passenger of the Buick reportedly fell out of the vehicle.
The man who had fallen from the Buick was struck by several vehicles, according to reports, resulting in fatal injuries. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the deceased victim—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
