How Did This Accident Occur?

Most people who read about this crash probably would attribute it to driver error, but I’ve been part of enough commercial vehicle accidents in my career to things are seldom that simple.

Police haven’t told us much about this crash yet. What if another vehicle or an object in the road forced the box truck driver to swerve unexpectedly? Of it the truck had an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism?

We don’t know if this truck was a rental or part of a company fleet, but either way it’s worth looking at its maintenance records as investigators also scrutinize evidence from the scene, data from the truck’s engine control module and available video footage of the crash, because the victims’ families deserve answers to any lingering questions they have about this crash.
