How Did This Accident Occur?

It’s easy to assume this crash happened because the driver was fatigued or distracted, but assumptions are no replacement for facts in an accident investigation, in my experience. Authorities should scrutinize evidence at the scene, data from the truck and any available video footage of the crash to determine how it happened.

Even that may be not enough to yield the answers needed to explain this crash. If there was a mechanical problem with the pickup, which is more than 25 years old, it may take a forensic examination by a qualified expert to identify it.
