How Did This Accident Occur?
It is not clear how this crash unfolded from what has been reported so far, proving the need for a thorough investigation.
Did one of these vehicles run a stop sign or disregard a traffic light? Was one of these drivers not paying attention to traffic at the intersection? Did one of the vehicles have a mechanical issue that contributed to this crash?
The best way to answer these questions is by gathering evidence from the scene, witness statements, data from the vehicles and any available video footage. That should allow authorities to piece together what happened on Augusta Street, although they may need to bring in an independent expert to examine the vehicles if they suspect a mechanical problem may have caused this crash. That is beyond the capabilities of most law enforcement agencies, in my experience.
These steps should ensure the injured woman and her family get answers to any lingering questions about this accident.
