Authorities mentioned in reports that they’re investigating alcohol as a potential factor in the crash. If that’s true, where did that alcohol come from? In many drunk driving accidents, investigations will show that an alcohol provider is responsible for illegally over-serving the intoxicated driver. Unfortunately, this isn’t something authorities tend to put on their radar, so a lot of negligent alcohol providers are let off the hook when they should take responsibility for the harm they caused to victims and families. So while it’s not clear if anything like that happened here, it would be irresponsible not to consider all of the factors that led this accident.
