Accident Report
Bastrop County, TX — March 28, 2026, Casey Lane was injured in a car accident at about 10:20 p.m. on State Highway 71 west of Bastrop.
A preliminary accident report indicates that a westbound 2018 Ram 2500 allegedly ran a red light at Tucker Hills Lane/County Road 214 and crashed into an eastbound 2017 Chevrolet Silverado towing a trailer. The collision caused the other truck to hit a light pole and catch fire.
Chevrolet driver Casey Lane, 44, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.
The Dodge driver, who also suffered serious injuries, was cited for disregarding a traffic signal, the report states.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Bastrop County crash at this time.
