Accident Report

Olmsted County, MN — August 5, 2026, Carrie Plank and Kaydence Plank were injured in a truck accident at about 6:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 14 near Dover.

Authorities said an eastbound Ford F-650 was towing another vehicle when a camper top on that vehicle came loose, hitting the windshield of a westbound Ford Escape near 19th Avenue SE.

An SUV passenger, 42-year-old Lewiston resident Carrie Elliot Plank, suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash, according to authorities, while driver Kaydence Rita Plank, 21, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The pickup driver was not injured, authorities said.
