San Antonio, TX — November 15, 2025, Carlos Velazquez was injured as the result of a car accident at around 10:25 p.m. along Highway 151.
Investigators said that the crash took place off the intersection of the Highway 151 and Old Highway 90.
According to officials, 21-year-old Carlos Velazquez was in a Toyota Camry going southeast along the highway. For reasons unclear, the vehicle crashed along the roadway. Carlos Velasquez was seriously injured.
Investigators did not report any other injuries. Additional details are unavailable.

Having handled serious car accidents for decades, I often have questions come to mind that folks likely wouldn’t consider. For example, seeing that only one person was seriously injured here, I have to wonder if authorities inspected the vehicle for potential defects.
While not exactly common, there are times when someone suffers serious injuries not due to the crash itself but rather because something designed to protect them failed to do so. Seatbelts, airbags, seat assemblies, even the structure of the car itself—these are features meant to prevent or reduce the severity of injuries. If one person is able to walk away while the other isn’t, it’s worth considering if that was just a freak coincidence or instead the result of an unforeseeable defect.
That’s not the sort of thing authorities typically have the training or tools to look into themselves, so hopefully an independent specialist was brought in to look things over. Otherwise, something important might slip through the cracks.
