Dallas, TX — June 26, 2024, a pedestrian was killed following a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 6:30 a.m. along Interstate Highway 30.

According to authorities, a pedestrian was on foot attempting to cross the active lanes of the Interstate Highway 30 eastbound in the vicinity of Buckner Road when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the pedestrian was struck by an eastbound motor vehicle. The victim suffered reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the collision. The striking vehicle—possibly a grey Honda between the years 2017 and 2020—allegedly fled the scene, the person(s) inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the pedestrian.
