LaSalle County, IL — March 28, 2026, Carlos Garcia Jr. was killed and another person was injured in a truck accident at about 1:45 a.m. on Interstate 80.
Authorities said two semi-trucks collided on westbound I-80 near the exit for Marseilles.
One driver, 32-year-old Berwyn resident Carlos L. Garcia Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
The other driver was flown to an area hospital with unspecified injuries, authorities said.
