Dallas, TX — August 26, 2024, one person was injured following a car versus train accident at approximately 4:00 p.m. along South Lancaster Road.
According to authorities, one man was traveling in a motor vehicle in the vicinity of the South Lancaster Road and Ledbetter Drive intersection when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the car collided with a public transportation train before also crashing into a pole. The lone occupant of the vehicle was reportedly entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by emergency personnel. Once freed from the aftermath, he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment for the injuries he sustained over the course of the accident.
