Winkler County, TX — May 2, 2024, one person was injured following a car accident sometime in the afternoon along State Highway 302.
According to authorities, the accident occurred on S.H. 302 in the vicinity of mile marker 229, which is reportedly east of Kermit.
The cause of the accident and the number of vehicles involved remains unclear. Officials indicate that one person who had been involved was entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated upon the arrival of emergency personnel. Once freed from the aftermath, they were transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive treatment for the injuries incurred during the accident. No other injuries have been reported.
