Williams, CA — February 9, 2025, One person was killed and another was injured following a car accident that occurred Sunday afternoon.

An investigation is underway following a car accident that left one person dead and injured another during the afternoon hours of February 9th. According to official reports, a Toyota Highlander was being operated by a 72-year-old man with a passenger in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Husted Rd. when for unknown reasons the vehicle lost control and left the roadway which resulted in the vehicle overcorrecting, which then led to the Toyota rolling several times.

When first responders arrived on the scene they found that both individuals had sustained serious injuries and they transported them to the hospital where the driver later succumbed to his injuries. At this time it remains unknown what caused the vehicle to lose control, and the identity of the driver and passenger have not been released, however this is an ongoing investigation and more details may emerge in the future.
